Escape The Office Walkthrough

Escape the Office is a room escape game that is available online as a flash game and you can also get it from the android play store. It's a short little game where you are trapped in an office and have to use logical thinking to escape. I hope you enjoy my walkthrough of it.

You start out by facing the window and the desk.

Starting out

You see a carpet in front of the desk and there's a small bump under the right side of the carpet. Click on it to zoom in and click again to reveal a power cord under the carpet.

Now, go to the desk and open the left drawer to get scissors.

There is also a white notecard on the table, right in front of the monitor.

Next, drag the power cord from your inventory to the lamp to power it. Now you can click on the lamp to turn it on, you will see a shadow of a key behind the lampshade. Drag the scissors from your inventory to the lampshade to get the key out.

Use the key to open the right drawer of the desk.

Inside you will find a stapler and a prism.

Remove the power cord from the lamp to get it back to your inventory and go to the wall where the printer is. Use the power cord on the printer.

Now, go back to the desk and face towards the window. Click to open the blinds and drag the prism from your inventory to the hook.

Three colored beams

There are three colored lightbeams pointing to certain keys on the keyboard. Use the notecard to get the right order of keystrokes. Red-Red-Yellow-Blue-Blue.

That correlates to TT8CC, which is the password you must type in to get access to the computer.

Click on the monitor and then on the print manager. Choose "Print Remaining Docs".

Exit the computer and go back to the printer to get a freshly printed sheet of paper.

There is a picture on the wall near the printer. Zoom in on it and notice that it's cracked, use the stapler to shatter the glass and get the "Teensy key" that the guy on the picture is holding.

The second key

Go to the opposite wall where the safe and calendar is. Examine the calendar and look at the printed document you have. It says: 

"Derek's special day

 The employee of the month

 He waited all year"

Search for the Award reception date on the calendar. It changes with every playthrough, so your's might be different than mine.

Mine is the 19th October of 2013. October is the 10th month of the year so I can get a password out of that: 19102013.

Go back to the computer and click on safe-guard shortcut on the desktop. Enter the password you came up with based on the date.

The safe is unlocked now, there is a small box on the lower left side of the safe. Use the "Teensy key" to open it. There is an USB drive inside.

Go back to the desk and use the USB drive on the USB reader under the monitor. Tap on the monitor and notice that there is a new icon on the desktop called "Top Floor"

Click it to be confronted with a puzzle mini-game. You have to make the middle elevator go up to reach the key without directly moving it.

It's quite simple really. The middle elevator will go up if the elevator on the rightmost side will go down.

Here is the step-by-step solution:

Click on the second elevator from the left 2 times.

Click on the second elevator from the right 2 times.

Click on the leftmost elevator 2 times.

Click on the rightmost elevator 2 times.

Click on the second elevator from the left 2 times.

Click on the second elevator from the right 2 times.

Click on the leftmost elevator 2 times.

Click on the rightmost elevator 2 times.

That's it, now the elevator is summoned. Go face the elevator and press the button to complete the game. Congratulations!
